I grew up in a small town where every house had a garden behind it. My grandmother and my mother taught me to talk to plants and to understand that each one has its own personality. I was always a dreamy and slightly shy , and I found it easier to connect with soil and leaves than with people. Over time, I learned to open up, and that may be the most valuable thing my garden has given me.
I dream of a house at the edge of a meadow, where mornings smell of dew and fresh grass. There will be a big garden, a glass greenhouse, and a porch with room for friends. I picture apple trees in bloom all around and a bouquet on the table that I gathered with my own hands.
